The Craft
"Every strand, whatever it looked like, was part of the same circle."
I coiled the tasbih outward from the centre, strand by strand, and glued each one in place to build up the concentric circles. The strands vary in colour, size, and material. Some are small glass beads, others larger wood. Each one is different. Each one is part of the same circle.

The Centre
At the heart of the piece the calligraphy spirals inward, written in silver on a dark ground. The beads orbit it from every direction. Everything moves toward that still point at the centre.
The Strands
Up close you can see how different every strand is. Colour, size, material, texture. No two rows are the same. That variety was intentional. The tasbih I collected for this came from many hands, many places, many people.
The Story
"I wanted the piece to be made from beads that had already been used for dhikr, not just to represent it."
Every time someone picks up their tasbih and begins to count, they are doing the same thing that millions of others are doing, have always done. I wanted to show that. I asked friends and family to donate their tasbih because I wanted the piece to be made from beads that had already been used for dhikr, not just to represent it.

Your print is made to last. A few things worth knowing:
Keep it out of direct sunlight where possible. Archival paper holds its colour well, but prolonged UV exposure will fade any print over time.
Avoid hanging in humid rooms such as bathrooms or kitchens. Moisture is the main enemy of fine art paper.
If your print arrives rolled, lay it flat under a few books for 24 hours before framing. It will settle naturally.
For cleaning, a soft dry cloth on the glass is all you need. Never spray directly onto the print.
