Divine Illumination
When I was younger, someone told me a story. I cannot remember who it was or exactly where I heard it, but it I still remember hearing it.
They said that the Kaabah is not only for this world. That it exists across all the worlds, all the galaxies, everything that is out there beyond what we can see. That somewhere in the vastness of the universe, the Kaabah is there too, floating in the cosmos, radiating light in every direction.
I do not know if it is true. But I have always wanted it to be.
This painting is that story. The Kaabah suspended in an outer world, beyond the earth, beyond the sky, light pouring out of it into the darkness of space. A sanctuary not just for us, but for everything that exists.
