About Digital Devotion
In this highly textured abstract painting, the imagery of a circuit board is reimagined to represent the interconnected global Muslim community. The Kaaba sits at the heart of the piece as the spiritual core, with raised circuit lines radiating outward, mapping the journeys of millions of believers across a cosmic background of deep celestial blues.
Behind the Painting
Looking at the intricate design of a computer circuit board, I saw a profound parallel to the Muslim Ummah. Just as a motherboard sends energy through its circuits to keep a system alive, the Kaaba radiates spiritual energy outward to the global community. The circuit board in this painting represents the world itself, interconnected and unified, drawing its strength from that single, sacred centre.
How It Was Made
I started by building up the surface with thick mediums to physically sculpt the raised circuit lines, creating tactile pathways that travel across the canvas. I then painted the background in deep cosmic blues and blacks to create a sense of infinite space. The raised lines were highlighted with metallic tones, drawing the eye toward the Kaaba at the centre of the composition.

Your print is made to last. A few things worth knowing:
Keep it out of direct sunlight where possible. Archival paper holds its colour well, but prolonged UV exposure will fade any print over time.
Avoid hanging in humid rooms such as bathrooms or kitchens. Moisture is the main enemy of fine art paper.
If your print arrives rolled, lay it flat under a few books for 24 hours before framing. It will settle naturally.
For cleaning, a soft dry cloth on the glass is all you need. Never spray directly onto the print.
