Asma ul Husna

Asma ul Husna

120 × 100 cm Acrylic on canvas

The 99 Names of Allah. Each one is a different facet of the same light. Al-Rahman, the Most Gracious. Al-Wadud, the Most Loving. Al-Sabur, the Most Patient. The more you learn them, the more you realise how much they reveal, not just about who He is, but about what we are called to aspire to.

In this painting, all 99 Names surround a centre that begins with Bismillahi Rahmani Ar Raheem. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. The phrase we begin everything with. From that centre, colour radiates outward, and woven through it, the Shahadah, La Ilaha Ilallah, repeated again and again, the foundational truth running through everything like a current.

I wanted the composition to feel like what the Names actually do when you sit with them. They draw you inward toward something, and then they send you back out into the world changed.

Asma ul Husna is held in a private collection.

The 99 beautiful names of Allah, each one a doorway to His grace. And flowing through it all, La ilaha ilallah. There is no god but Allah. A painting that depicts devotion.

This painting is now in a private collection. If you are looking for an original painting for your home, I would be happy to discuss a commission with you.
